Milton Morris:

The Story So Far

rosette
Milton Morris was formed in 1983 and first met in The Lion and Lamb Pub in Milton; when the function room was demolished around the side's sticks it was time to move on....and, after spells at Milton Primary School, Duxford Primary School and The George at Babraham (where our practice room burned down!) we now meet in The Village Hall, Pampisford on Thursdays at 8pm.

We dance in the Cotswold tradition usually taking a single style and learning and performing dances in that style. In our 26 years we have danced the following traditions:

Ascot

Fieldtown

Sherborne

Bledington

Bampton with Brackley sticks

Ducklington

and currently, our focus is the Ilmington tradition.

Our costume consists of white shirt and trousers, black top hat and shoes, red and blue rosettes and ribbons and the usual bell pads, handkerchiefs and sticks.
